In the fall and winter of 2016, I focused on some creative word art.

I was a server at UpCountry Brewing in Asheville, NC at the time and I made one for my manager with the UpCountry name. He was impressed and asked me to do the hostess stand as well, which was my first time with chalk art, as far as I can remember.

When their Chef Matt Kovitch saw it, he commissioned me to redo the chalkboard with the local ingredients’ logos, which I ordered chalk markers to produce.

Most of the rest were Christmas presents for family members: pencil outline, then ultra fine and fine point black permanent markers on paper.
